North Riding of Yorkshire Register of Deeds
1736 – 1827

The Registry of Deeds for North Yorkshire was opened in 1736. The original registers are held at the North Yorkshire County Record Office [NYCRO] in Northallerton, North Yorkshire and contain memorials [abstracts] of the original documents - though there are also some original deeds. Separate indexes were made for each register - the original indexes being held by NYCRO. The following extracts were taken from microfilm copies of the indexes at NYCRO but these are also available from the Family History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints [LDS].
